The Race

Long Route

Central to the race is the route: Around 24 kilometers of trail running and 4 kilometers of swimming, spread across 10 swim sections in the river Sure. Several replenishment points along the way provide much needed sugars & water and first-aid teams are ready and stand-by at all times. Please note that the organisation has the right to change the route to its sole discretion. Any amendment will be communicated before the race. The start of the race will be at noon, 12pm. After the last contestant crosses the finishline we close the day with the award ceremony! Barbecue will be available throughout the course of the afternoon from 14:00 till 20:00.

Short Route

Please note that for now, only registrations for the LONG route are open as we hope many of our short route participants will take up the challenge to go for the long route next year. The reason is that we have felt far greater satisfaction with our long route participants in terms of value & worth making the daytrip. The longer course is much more beautiful, especially further down the lake. From an organisation point of view it will improve safety on and around the water, waymarking and aid stations. As such, the short route is under review for 2019 and may not be organised. This decision will be made in due course. Meanwhile we are happy to hear your thoughts on this matter.
